Artpreneur Program
We teach youth the ART of Business and the BUSINESS of Art. Want to learn how to turn your creativity into cash and make handmade products like apparel, greeting cards, and artwork? This program is for you.
- Design a revenue-generating artistic business
- Use graphic software like Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate & CorelDraw
- Learn commercial equipment: vinyl cutters, screenpress, DTG, laser cutters, and more
- Earn a chance to win up to $1,000 at our Pitch Competition
- Create a brand and learn marketing, logistics, and pitching
- Strengthen critical thinking and leadership skills
- Receive an Artpreneur – Business Innovator badge

Application Process to Be Eligible for a Paid Stipend
YEI’s School Year Paid Internships are made possible in partnership with the Department of Employment Services (DOES). Youth must complete the YEI application and submit required documentation to DOES to be eligible for the paid component of the program.
After completing the YEI registration, interns will receive instructions for uploading materials to DOES using the official platform. The deadline for the DOES application is typically late June or early July (exact date TBD).

Feral Ronmay, Grade 12 – 2022–23 Intern
Business: Fashion Design
Ronmay began his journey in YEI’s summer MBSYEP program in 2021 and launched his fashion brand in 2022. Since then, he’s grown into a rising star in the fashion world, completing his first brand collaboration. Ronmay continues to inspire, now studying in college while merging his passion for creativity with his drive to empower others.
