The Department of Employment Services (DOES) provides comprehensive employment services to ensure a competitive workforce, full employment, life-long learning, economic stability and the highest quality of life for all District residents. In 2022, DOES awarded a $50,000 grant to support YEI’s MBSYEP programming.

LEARN24

Learn24 is a network of afterschool and summer opportunities supported by the Bowser Administration to ensure children and youth in the District have access to quality educational and enrichment activities beyond the school day. In 2022, Learn24 awarded a $100,000 grant to support YEI’s Smart Hustle school-year programming.

Saylor Academy is a nonprofit initiative working since 2008 to offer free and open online courses to all who want to learn.Saylor Academy allows our students to can earn tuition-free college credit.
